Use a scalpel to lift the corner of the sheet to be removed, only 10mm.  No other knife needed.  Using long nose pliers, firmly grip this corner and rotate the pliers.  This rolls the old strip right off, just like opening a tin of spam..  (showing your age Steve)Steve says he has replaced two sheets - virtually no residue to clean off with Acetone, and no marks on the aluminium section.  He replaced both sides in 1m 30s.If you need of a job Steve, a mind stimulating job awaits!Perhaps, we should have a timed strip off and strip on competition?

To remove glue, resin and epoxy use paint remover / solvent such as Nitromores.

• Wear protective gloves and glasses.
  
• Paint the solvent onto the contaminated area.
• Leave for 10 - 15 minutes.
• Scrub with a brass brush or nail brush in warm soapy water.
• Dry thoroughly.

To remove aluminium from a rotary, try using it on ceramic or a brick. Alternatively, Heat with a blow torch and then when the aluminium starts to melt, flick to remove the liquid ali. "Wear safety glasses and gloves"

Cleaning will change the colour of the tools, but this will not effect their performance.

Our large and small rotaries we do not recommend for metal. However, if you use them on aluminium, lubricate the tool first, with either WD40 oil or chalk. This will help to stop them clogging

The Holesaws, Reciprocating, Jigsaw, Hacksaw & Rodsaw blades are more efficient on the hardest of materials i.e. Cast Iron, Steel, fibre reinforced plastics etc
